Banking and Wallet Mechanics in the Mark2 Demo

This guide explains how virtual coins function within the Parallel Sort Burst demo. The virtual wallet is isolated from any external financial system. Coins have no cash value, no provider, and no verified processing times or payout methods. The wallet state is managed locally by this independent guide's browser session.

Wallet Initialization and Refill

The demo begins with a virtual balance of 1000 coins. This is an initial state, not a deposit from a bank.

  • Manual Refill: If the balance falls below 10 coins while the interface is idle, clicking refill sets the balance to exactly 1000. This action replaces the remaining balance; it does not add to it.
  • No Automatic Replenishment: The balance does not refill automatically during play or after a settlement.

Fractional Carry and Persistence

The demo preserves fractional carry across settlements, refills, and reloads. This means partial coin values are retained in the local state rather than being rounded down immediately.

  • Settled Balance: Persists locally, including zero balances.
  • Unfinished Reload: If you reload the page while a trace is active (captured stake, power, and cap locked), the unfinished round ends without refund. The captured debit is lost.

Virtual Coin Nature

Virtual coins in this demo are for simulation purposes only.

  • No Cash Value: Coins cannot be converted to real currency.
  • No External Provider: There is no verified third-party payment processor or bank associated with these coins.
  • No Withdrawal: You cannot withdraw virtual coins to an external account.

Storage and Privacy

The demo uses browser localStorage to store the settled demo balance and fractional carry. This storage is local to your device.

  • No Account Login: There is no account login flow in this demo. You do not need to create an account or upload documents.
  • Data Processing: The absence of account controls does not prove that no personal data are processed elsewhere. Clearing cached files may leave local storage intact if not manually cleared.

Settlement and Auto-Banking

Banking (settling the current quote) happens manually or via automatic caps.

  • Manual Bank: Available immediately while the round is live. Settles the current conditional quote.
  • Automatic Caps: Set to 4, 8, or 12 revealed bits. The system automatically banks the current quote at the cap. If the conditional potential drops to zero before the cap, it settles to zero.

Control States

During an active trace:

  • Locked Controls: Stake, mode (power selection), and refill buttons are locked.
  • Sound: Remains available for audio feedback.
  • Reloading: Ends the trace without refund of the captured debit.

Frequently asked questions

Can I withdraw my virtual coins to a real bank account?

No. The virtual coins in this demo have no cash value and are not connected to any external payment provider. They cannot be withdrawn.

What happens if I refresh the page while playing?

If you reload while a trace is active, the round ends without refund. The captured stake remains debited without a payout or resumed round. Previously stored fractional carry remains saved. The balance after the debit is retained; manual refill is available only while idle below 10.

Does the demo use my personal data for payments?

The demo uses local storage for balance persistence. There is no payment flow or account login, so no payment-related personal data is processed within the demo itself. However, this does not guarantee anonymity regarding other browser data or third-party requests like Google Fonts.
